8 Signs Your Business Website Needs a Redesign
Slow, dated, broken on mobile, impossible to edit, invisible on Google. The warning signs your business website is costing you customers and needs a rebuild.
Most Pakistani business websites were built once, years ago, and never touched again. The business moved on; the website did not. Here are the signs your website is quietly costing you customers and needs a rebuild, not another patch.
1. It is slow on a phone
Open your site on your phone right now, on mobile data, not office Wi-Fi. If it takes more than 3 seconds to load, visitors are leaving before they see your logo. Most Pakistani traffic is mobile, and mobile users are not patient. Check your score on Google PageSpeed Insights; under 70 means you are bleeding visitors.
2. It looks broken or cramped on mobile
Text you have to pinch to read, buttons too small to tap, layouts that spill off the edge. If your site was built for desktop and never properly adapted, every mobile visitor gets a bad experience, and mobile visitors are the majority.
3. It looks old, and you know it
Design ages fast. If your site looks like it was made in 2018, customers assume your business is stuck there too. A dated site does not just look old, it makes the whole business look inactive.
4. It does not match your business anymore
New services, new products, new pricing, but the site still shows the old ones. If your website describes a business you no longer run, it is actively misleading customers.
5. You cannot edit it yourself
Every small text change needs a developer call and a two-week wait. A website you cannot update is a website that stays stale. If that is your situation, the fix is usually a rebuild, not a workaround.
6. Nothing converts
Visitors come but do not call, message, or buy. A website that does not turn traffic into customers is decoration, not a business tool. If traffic exists but conversions do not, the site is the problem.
7. Your developer vanished
The site works but nobody can access it, nobody knows the passwords, and the person who built it is gone. This is more common in Pakistan than anyone admits, and the honest answer is often a rebuild with proper ownership.
8. It is not on Google
You search for your own services in your city and competitors appear while you do not. A site that cannot be found might as well not exist.
Redesign or just fix it?
Fix it if the foundation is fine and the problems are small: outdated content, a few broken pages, minor speed issues.
Rebuild if the core is bad: slow bloated theme, broken mobile experience, outdated structure, no SEO foundation. Patching a bad foundation costs almost as much as rebuilding and leaves you with a patched bad site.
Most Pakistani business sites past three or four years old fall into the rebuild category, because they were built to a lower standard than today's web demands.
