How Much Does a Website Cost in Pakistan? (Honest 2026 Guide)
Real PKR price ranges for business sites, ecommerce stores, and web apps in Pakistan, what actually drives the cost, the hidden fees nobody mentions, and how to avoid overpaying.
"How much will a website cost me?" is the first question every Pakistani business owner asks, and the honest answer is: it depends on what you're actually buying. A website is not a product with a sticker price. It is a service, and the price moves with the scope. Here is what things really cost in Pakistan in 2026, what drives the price up or down, and how to avoid overpaying.
The short answer
| Type of site | Typical price in Pakistan | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Basic business site | PKR 25,000 to 80,000 | 4 to 6 pages, contact form, mobile-friendly, template or light custom design |
| Custom-coded site | PKR 80,000 to 250,000 | Designed for your brand, sub-second speed, SEO structure, no templates |
| Ecommerce store | PKR 60,000 to 300,000+ | Products, cart, COD and card payments, courier integration |
| Web app / portal | PKR 150,000 to 600,000+ | Logins, dashboards, bookings, anything interactive |
These are market ranges, not our quote. Any agency that gives you a final price before hearing your requirements is guessing, or quoting a template.
What actually drives the price
Custom design versus templates. A template site assembled in a day is cheap because the design work is already done for a thousand other businesses. A custom design takes real hours from a designer and a developer, and it shows. If your site is how customers judge you, a generic template is a false economy.
Speed and code quality. Most cheap Pakistani sites are WordPress themes loaded with plugins. They load in 4 to 8 seconds, which is slow enough that half your visitors leave before the page even appears. Hand-coded sites that load in under a second cost more to build because they take real engineering. Our web development service is built around this: custom code, no page builders, verified PageSpeed scores.
Content. Someone has to write the words on every page. Cheap quotes assume you provide everything. Good agencies write or rewrite your copy, and that work has a cost.
Features. A contact form is free. Booking systems, dashboards, Urdu/English toggles, WhatsApp integrations, payment gateways, and courier integrations all add time.
Who builds it. A student freelancer on Fiverr and a software house in Lahore are selling different things. Freelancers are cheaper and fine for a basic page, but when the site breaks or the freelancer disappears, there is no one to call.
Hidden costs nobody mentions
- Domain: roughly PKR 3,000 to 6,000 per year for a .com, a bit more for .pk.
- Hosting: PKR 5,000 to 15,000 per year for basic shared hosting; more for anything serious.
- Maintenance: updates, backups, security fixes. Budget PKR 2,000 to 10,000 a month or expect to pay for a bigger fix later.
- Rebuilds: the hidden cost of going cheap. If you pay PKR 20,000 for a site that is unusable in a year, the real cost is 20,000 plus the rebuild.
How to not get ripped off
- Ask for an itemized scope: what is included, what is not, what happens if you need changes.
- Ask to see live sites they built, and open them on your phone.
- Run their past work through Google PageSpeed Insights. If their own clients' sites are slow, yours will be too.
- Ask who maintains the site after launch and what it costs.
- Be suspicious of prices that sound too good. A PKR 10,000 "complete website with hosting and SEO" is a template with your logo on it.
The honest version
If you need a basic online presence, PKR 40,000 to 80,000 with a decent freelancer or agency is fair. If the website is how you get customers, expect to pay PKR 80,000 and up for something that actually performs, because the difference between a slow template and a fast custom site is the difference between a page that exists and a page that sells.
